For the first time, Italy will host the celebrated Summit

Thanks in part to its multiculturalism, this year it will be Milan that will host the "World Cities Culture Summit," a forum dedicated to culture that every year gathers leaders from 38 cities, culture experts who share their experiences. Therefore, for the first time, Italy will host the famous Summit, which will take place from October 28 to 30, 2020. The choice of Lombardy's capital city was made because of its multiculturalism, its vibrant cultural activity and its role as a leading city for all culture professionals, they explained in Lisbon at the time of the choice. This year will be the ninth where Milan will become the centerpiece of a policy debate on the key role culture can play in addressing the greatest challenges of our time. Culture and creativity have always been critical to the success of cities, not only because they drive economies but also because they inspire young people and transform the lives of us all. The Summit will be a great opportunity to share best practices around the world, and Milan will be a truly inspiring host.
